The 2001 Expedition to the Adventurers Club

Musical mayhem awaits us in the Library, as the Club's newest domestic engineer, Sunny, waves everyone up to the front of the stage for good seats.

She's a welcome addition to the staff: friendly, courteous and just the requisite amount of 'dingaling' for the job.

"Everybody ought to have a maid!"
Emil and Bessy prepare to "hoof it up" big time.

Hey, it's the Adventurer of the Year and Balderdash Champion . . . Sandusky, Ohio's very own Emil Bleehall!

To the left, Emil warms up for a song about his beloved bovine, Bessy the Heifer, Queen of all the Cows (she gives more milk than any law allows!).

On the right, a new Club Member volunteers to assist Emil with the song, twirling like a Dairy Queen sign as he holds Bessy's stand-in high overhead. Understandably, Emil couldn't be more proud of his educated cow back home in Ohio.

By morning she gives pasteurized, at night she gives homogenized...

Below, Pamelia and Emil mingle with the Library crowd for a good old fashioned sing-along. Though Pamelia takes a lot of good-natured ribbing from her fellow Club Officers, she does a bang up job as President -- a delight to see her again this year, greeted by her inimitable handkerchief-clutching wave and a pursed-lip "Helloooooo!"

And look at all the Adventurers drinking from monkey heads.  Jolly good show, people!

Can you spot the monkey heads?
Yet the evening's entertainment has only begun!  No visit to the Adventurers Club would be complete without seeing that khaki-clad songbird of the African savanna...
