Ahhh, that's the spirit! A cloudy October twilight descends upon the Haunted Mansion as the numerous candles and jack o' lanterns spark to life. Here in the Mansion's misty graveyard, our Ghost Host's disembodied voice greets visitors: [Our 999 ghosts] are thrilled to death that you've dropped by to visit their home for the holidays. We invite you to learn our unique tradition: the Holiday Scream-Along! Once you pass through the Mansion doors, you may hear many sounds, but there is one in particular we ask you to listen for. Ready? You may find it familiar… (a lively, orchestral vamp from the finale of "Grim Grinning Ghosts" plays) After you hear those familiar notes, everyone is invited to scream! Let's try it together, shall we? Our friendly ghosts will join in, and don't be shy.. just scream like you want to wake the dead! (vamp plays again, accompanied by screams) There now, wasn't that delightful? Remember to listen for your cue during your tour and join our little Scream-Along. You won't be disturbing anyone's peace, believe me - it's been deadly quiet around here for some time, and we'd love to… shall we say… liven things up. Season's Screamings, everyone! As noted, this Scream-Along cue is heard periodically throughout the HMH ride, though with so many new sights and sounds in the HMH show, it's very easy to forget this interactive element. Multimedia sample of this and many other new narrative elements from the HMH will be unearthed soon! |
