That tiny explorer in the pith helmet is your humble author, sometime in June of 1968. Even at the tender age of five and a half, I heard the call of adventure and excitement, and I followed! A mere babe in the jungle, yet I engaged a safari that took me over forty miles from home to the wilds of Adventureland where I discovered the Enchanted Tiki Room. Birds and flowers sang, tiki gods grumbled and thundered on native drums -- I was hooked on a life of Adventure immediately, and haven't stopped since!
Don't I look ready to brave lost temple curses and grapple with savage beasts of the jungle?
Judging by my attire, apparently this wasn't the monsoon season. But I was a game little tyke, and little did I know that < koff! > years later I would still heed the call of Adventure far or near.
